Rather than a practice in drawing poses (which I did before this, but just rough sketches in larger quantity, in real human proportion), this is more like anime rendering drill, trying to get the speed up. Some of the poses are original (ori), some are copied from photo references (ref).
The first one was original pose made in whopping 4 hours. Following the bg graphics I put there, the next ones were made in roughly 2(ref), 1.25(ref), 1.25(ref), ?? (ori, while watching anime, gross time ard 4 hrs), 1.5(ori), 1.5(ref), and 1.5 hrs(ori+ref).
It's good that I got it down from 4 to around 1.5 hrs. Sure the finish looks smoother in the 4 hrs one, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for. But in any case so far I still couldn't get pass the 1 hour mark in this kind of finish, particularly for poses I made up myself. It sounds like the sound barrier to me -_-.
The sketches for the original poses tend to be done in 1/2 hour, while those copied from ref in around 15 minutes. Perhaps I should go back to my regular figure drawing practice again to drill on the sketching part. I should be able to cut 15 minutes from there.
Oh, and I might start putting minimal clothing there on the next set of practice
